People who love dessert and not baking would love this quick and easy Caramilk custard slice recipe.  This recipe is as delicious as it is easy. Ingredients For Caramilk Slice Recipe

  • 1 1/2 pkts malt o milk biscuits
  • 2/3 cup custard powder
  • 1 tbsp caster sugar
  • 3 cup milk
  • 180g Caramilk chocolate, chopped
  • 150ml thickened cream, whipped

Directions

  • Grease a 3cm-deep, slice pan. Line with baking paper, allowing the paper to overhang the sides. Arrange 1/2 of the biscuits over the base of the prepared pan.
  • Take a saucepan. Add 1/2 cup of milk, custard powder, and sugar to that saucepan, and mix to form a smooth paste. Stir in remaining milk. Place over medium-high heat and bring to the boil. Cook for 2 minutes. Remove from heat and stir through caramilk until smooth. Cool completely, stirring occasionally. Then fold through whipped cream.
  • Spread custard evenly over the biscuit base and smooth the surface. Top with a layer of biscuits. Cover and place in the fridge for 4 hours to set.
  • Use a sharp knife to cut into even pieces and Serve.

  • Make sure to keep the consistency of custard thick, so that it doesn’t drop while pouring.
  • Caramilk slice can be stored at room temperature in an airtight container, or in the fridge if your kitchen is warm.
  • It can also be wrapped tightly, placed in a freezer container, and frozen for up to 2 months. Thaw in the fridge before enjoying.
